If we're working on reading, I like to use a lot of fun technology and word work games to give my students the skills they need in order to be able to sound out and blend words proficiently. Practice in reading fluency will also help to increase reading speed over time, which I like to keep track of with progress monitoring to see just how much my students are improving.
