About Noluvuyo
I am a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Agricultural Economics graduate and an Agricultural Economics Candidate. Working as a student tutor would be a lifetime opportunity as I would get to fulfill my dream of engaging with others and adding value someone’s academic progress. I believe that I am an ideal candidate as I am very passionate about tutoring . I am self-motivated, goal driven and I have strong communication skills.
My strong work ethic and dedication are evident from the fact that I was awarded with two certificates within two consecutive years (2018 and 2019) for academic excellence in Agricultural Economics. Concurrent with my academic studies, I worked at the University of Fort Hare as a Research and Administrative Assistant. This was a very awakening experience as I got to learn a lot about administrative work and meeting deadlines. Secondly, I worked at the University of Fort Hare as a student tutor for economics.
These experiences have enabled me to gain a realistic view about working with others and independently. They have exceptionally improved my communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Working as a Research and Administrative Assistant and as a Student Tutor at the University of Hare have been very handy and eye opening experiences.
In addition to my practical experience, my computer skills on Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Microsoft outlook are also exceptional.

My understanding about teaching and learning is that, people do not need to be smart in every single discipline to be considered intelligent on paper tests, but that people excel in various disciplines, making them exceptional. With that being said, my main concern when tutoring is understanding each and every students’ strengths and weaknesses and focusing mainly on their weaknesses. Thereafter, testing their understanding by giving them a task at the end of the week. This helps me understand their thinking and rationale behind them.
