About Shayla
Shayla holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Simmons University with a minor in psychology and is currently obtaining her Master's degree from the University of Michigan. She is passionate about working with students of all ages, having previously worked in a preschool to help jumpstart children's reading and in an elementary school where she was a paraprofessional, assisting children 1:1 on schoolwork. She is also a creative, having worked as the Arts & Crafts Director at a local summer camp for the past 4 summers! She looks forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals!

Each lesson is tailored to the student's needs using an approach to meet them where they are at. Shayla's goal for each of her students is to help them progress in their learning, one step at a time, using methods that will work best for them. A typical lesson will include a warm-up, review of previous session and practice of current and new skills. Lessons are geared towards high school and college students, primarily those taking introductory psychology (Intro to Psych, PSYC 101, AP Psych, etc.).
