About Teacher
Hello! My name is Abigail, and I am a qualified teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Intermediate phase teaching, and 3 years of practical teaching experience in various South African public schools.
I am passionate about helping students grow in confidence and reach their full academic potential. I understand that learning a language can sometimes feel challenging especially if it is not your home language (believe me, I understand), which is why I strive to create a supportive, patient, and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
My goals are not only to help students improve their academic performance, but also help them develop confidence, independence, and genuine enjoyment of learning. Whether you are looking to improve your English skills, receive homework assistance, prepare for assessments, or build confidence in speaking, reading or writing, I would be delighted to support you on your learning journey.

My lessons are student-centered, interactive, and designed to help learners build confidence while achieving their academic goals. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to suit each student's needs, pace, and learning style.
As a qualified Bachelor of Education graduate, I combine professional teaching knowledge with practical classroom experience. My lessons focus on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing their skills.
I am proficient in English and Afrikaans and can teach in either language when needed. I offer lessons in English Home Language and English First Additional focusing on reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation and homework or exam support.
A typical lesson includes a review of previous learning, clear explanations of concepts, guided practice and opportunities for independent practice. I use engaging activities and constructive feedback to ensure students understand the material and make steady progress.
My lessons are suitable for children (age 10 -12), teenagers (13-17), and adults (18+) who want to improve their English skills.
