About Nicholas

I am currently working in Barcelona in a SaaS startup as a Product Manager, focused on the B2B part. I started at the same company as a Business Data Analyst. My daily friends were Python and SQL, along with Excel and Tableau, the latter to a lesser extent. My tasks consisted of analyzing Excels with millions of rows (impossible to open in Excel), to automating processes and reports or cleaning data to create Dashboards in Tableau that can help different teams in the organization make better decisions.

Before that I worked as an Operations Analyst for almost 4 years, at which point I switched from using Excel on a daily basis to becoming interested in Python and SQL. I have a degree in Finance and Accounting, I have a Master in Data Science and I am currently studying Computer Engineering at the UOC.

About the lesson

Before the first free class, we are going to analyze what level you have right now and where it is better to start (I am preparing a test for you to be able to advise and guide you during the learning)

After evaluating your level, we will start with the first free class that will consist of teaching a concept that can help you immediately in your professional life, if possible, otherwise a class will be prepared on what interests you most in the world of data analysis, and otherwise, I have prepared some generic classes that cover from how to make your first query with SQL, the first steps with Python or how to read a CSV or Excel file in Python, clean it and create graphics from the clean data.

If the first class is a success and you like my teaching style, we will create a personalized route according to your needs. This route can be:

- Learn SQL and Python from scratch.
- Establish the bases of one or both of the programming languages, if you have previous experience.
- Create local ETL processes.
- Automate report generation by connecting Python and SQL with Excel.
- Automate processes using Python and Airflow.
- Create ETL processes in the cloud, using AWS.
- Among many other roads that can be built. Each person has their needs and adapting to them is key.
