About Susan
I have been a professional writer for over 30 years. I have worked in journalism, education, technical writing, and legal writing. I have also led workshops on good writing in the workplace. My written work has been used as an exemplar of good writing in three graduate level programs.

I have taught many people how to write or improve their writing. I am an experienced journalist, editor, and editorial director for a small publishing house. I have been published in many genres including peer-reviewed academic journals. I use an interactive mode of teaching, requiring students to write then providing written feedback for each assignment. This includes organization, grammar, word choice, footnotes, bibliography, and whatever else might be required. I will gladly work with teachers to fully understand any assignments. I will also teach research methods and choosing appropriate sources.
