About Dr Hande
Dr Hande was honoured with the Warwick Award for Teaching Excellence (WATE) for a teaching style grounded in genuine care and a steady commitment to student progress. To receive this award, one must first be nominated, after which academics and students from across the entire university evaluate candidates through a multi-stage process.
Holding a PhD in Applied Screen Studies from the University of Warwick, an MA in Journalism and Documentary Practice from the University of Sussex, and Fellowships with Advance HE (AFHEA and FHEA), Dr Hande has spent over a decade supporting international students across UK, European, and Turkish universities to achieve strong results like Merits and Distinctions. Her expertise is well-suited for the social sciences, humanities, and arts rather than STEM subjects.

Thoughtful feedback on structure, flow, clarity, style, and critical thinking, whether you are polishing a draft for publication, shaping an essay or dissertation, tackling referencing, or navigating a heavy workload.
Methodology and Research Ethics
Guidance on developing research proposals and designing qualitative or mixed-methods studies. Support is also available for fieldwork, ethics, and creative or sensory practices such as co-production, zine-making, body-mapping, filmmaking, autoethnography, participant observation, and oral history.

Having secured fully funded scholarships in the UK, including Chevening and a fully funded PhD, I am glad to share the insights I picked up along the way and guide you through your own application process.
