About Andy
Have you ever had an idea for a song but didn't know where to begin? How about scoring a film/video game or seeing your work performed on stage?
My name is Andy and I am a professional composer based in New York City with over 4 years of teaching experience. Throughout my career, I've worked with many Broadway, West End, and Met Opera performers and have had my work premiered Off-Broadway. I've also received commissions from theater and opera companies, scored short films and video games, and been broadcast on the radio in Scotland. I am a winner of the international Franco Proposal Contest and a New York Foundation for the Arts Grant recipient.
I hold an MFA from the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program (NYU) and a BM in Music for New Media: Film & Game Scoring (Peabody Institute).

As a teacher, I believe in helping you fulfill your goals and intent for the music that you write. I do not believe in pushing a certain style onto my students. I believe that each person has a unique artistic voice and my focus as a teacher is to help you nurture it.
Lessons are once a week. Open to all ages, levels, and genres!
