About Patrick

I am an LL.B/BA (International Relations, Literature) graduate from Monash University, based in Melbourne. Throughout my studies, I maintained a strong private tutoring practice, and for several years, have successfully coached many students, whether it is to provide additional support for learning, or give an extra edge to achieve top grades. I received the highest first-year average score in Literary Studies at Monash University in 2018, out of a cohort of hundreds of students.

About the lesson

My lessons involve assisting students in extrapolating themes, values, authorial concerns, and other literary techniques from texts. I can assist with not only novels, novellas, film, and speeches, but published articles, literary reviews, and any other form of text. I guarantee that students will leave my classes with an intricate understanding of textual themes, and a concise summary of any other relevant concerns raised within any text. My dexterous expertise across junior and high-level approaches to English and Literature allows high-quality, relaxed, and clear teaching to students at all levels. I have an ability to thoughtfully extrapolate themes, authorial concerns, and summarize complex plot points in a manner that is digestible for students at any academic level. I can provide ongoing support over a long period, a circuit-breaker-type lesson (as a one-off), or intermittent sessions, at the student's leisure.
