About Oleksandra

I’m a 21-year-old university student with over a decade of personal experience in drawing and creating art. For me, art has always been more than just a skill — it’s a form of therapy, a way to express emotions and ideas that words can’t capture. I truly believe that while some people may seem naturally gifted, art is something anyone can learn and enjoy. I don’t consider myself to have been “born talented” — instead, my passion for drawing and my perseverance over the years are what have shaped my skills. Because of this, I have a deep empathy for learners who may feel they’re struggling at first, and I know how to guide them through those early hurdles. My approach is supportive, encouraging, and tailored to each individual’s pace. I aim to help students not only improve their technical abilities but also discover the joy and confidence that come with creating something of their own. Whether your goal is to prepare for exams, build a portfolio, or simply explore art as a hobby, I’ll be there to help you unlock your potential.

About the lesson

I believe art is both a skill and a form of self-expression, so my lessons focus on building strong technical foundations while encouraging each student’s individual style. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, building a portfolio, or exploring art as a hobby, I tailor each session to your needs, goals, and level of experience. My teaching combines practical demonstrations, guided exercises, and personalised feedback. I often break down complex techniques into simple, manageable steps, ensuring that students not only improve but also feel confident in their progress. Lessons can cover drawing, painting, composition, colour theory, and exam-specific requirements, depending on your aims. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes (longer sessions are possible on request) and may include a mix of skill-building activities, creative challenges, and constructive critique. I have been drawing since junior school, achieved a Level 9 in IGCSE Art and Level 7 in Higher Art IB, and received an A for my Extended Essay Art project. My work has won multiple awards, including the Pearl Award in the Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Contest and First Place in the COBIS Art Competition. My experience, combined with strong communication skills, allows me to create a supportive and inspiring environment for learners of all ages. My lessons are open to students of all ages and abilities — from complete beginners to those aiming for top grades in school or simply wanting to deepen their creative skills.
