About Iviwe
Welcome AutoCAD 101! I am thrilled to be your instructor for this journey into AutoCAD. My name is Iviwe Mpange, and I bring 3 years of experience in the program. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working alongside several different architects and engineers that have helped me attain more useful knowledge on the infinite world of AutoCAD. I hold a drafting certificate with CETA from CTU Training Solutions where I specialized in architectural drafting.
My passion for AutoCAD stems from my love of pencil and paper. I have always had a passion for buildings and the process of being able to (re)construct one in detail with each stroke of a pencil – in this case a mouse. I have worked with Revit and Inventor however, the satisfaction of a step-by-step process is not as fulfilling as the experience I have had with AutoCAD. As we embark on this course together, I aim to foster an environment of growth, exploration, and deep learning. Your success and understanding are my priorities, and I encourage open communication and active participation.
I believe in the power of learning and working well with something you enjoy. Together, let us explore the interface, drawing techniques, layers, blocks, commands and plotting; and discover how AutoCAD impacts our world today.

The lessons will be jam packed for an entire hour where we will focus on nothing short of the criteria for the day.
I am most proficient in English and the pace at which we will be moving will ensure that each student is able to grasp the work at hand no matter what their native language is.
What to expect:
- Practical sessions
- Basic learning material
- Introductions and light conversation for the first 5 minutes (max)
- Guidance through the entire learning process
- Each student to ensure they have questions that need working on for their next session
- Constant monitoring of each student to assure stable progress
- A relaxed and fulfilling experience!
Requirements from each student:
- Experience in AutoCAD is advantageous but not mandatory
- Students should be proficient in using a PC.
- Notes and study material will be provided
- Autodesk AutoCAD must be installed; a 30-day trial or student version can be downloaded from the Autodesk website.
The aim of each session is to ensure that the student is able to grasp all the tools and functions of AutoCAD for universal use and have only their desired career route information left to attain.

Details
Please note that the travel fee is for venues outside of Bluewater Bay, Port Elizabeth but within Port Elizabeth. Any travel costs outside of Port Elizabeth will be discussed individually with each student, based on the distance I am required to travel
