About Nathalie
My name is Nathalie, I'm in my twenties and living in Dublin, but my family comes from a mixed background. I've worked in many different settings with children and young people for the past four years since my graduation from my BSc. I have also worked on a research team focused on autism education. I have settled on pursuing a career in developmental psychology because I love working with kids and young people, probably because I'm still a kid at heart myself!

Hi and welcome to my profile! I'm an autism preschool teacher, registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland. I have a BSc in Psychology and I am currently doing my MSc in Developmental Psychology. I'm passionate about naturalistic, holistic, and needs-based approaches because I believe every learner is unique and each and every autistic person has their own strengths and challenges. Communication, independence, self-advocacy, and positive mental health and well-being are the goals I prioritize for all autistic students. I have experience employing behavioral approaches, using PECS, Lamh, AAC devices. I believe that the best way to get the most out of any child's learning is building a connection before anything else. Typically, I will work with the family and the student to develop an individualized education plan to address the areas where they might need support and then depending on the child's age/level of support and parent availability, tutoring sessions can be scheduled, typically two or three days a week. Please note, I am only available to tutor children aged pre-school age, up to 6 years. I can also provide some parent training to support with tutoring. I am happy to consider taking on children through the summer program and home tuition.
