About Emilia
I am currently working as an AuPair but from September I am going to be an applied music student at the University of the Highlands and Islands, focusing on traditional music with my main instrument being fiddle. I started classical violin when I was 10 but got more into traditional and folkmusic when I was a bit older and joined the folkBaltica Ensemble with members from Northern Germany and Denmark, who play at the famous annual Tonder Festival in Denmark. I started pinao when I was 6 and this gave me a good general music knowledge. Additionally I play organ for 3 years. I finished school last year with my A levels and an exam in music as well. At home I already taught a group of 4 musicians and formed a folk ensemble.

I taught some aspiring folk musicians and helped them form a group. Whithin the teaching my focus is on a balance between learning and fun. It is important to have a goal and to do the best to achieve that goal but on the other side fun and enjoying it has the same importance. I am open for many musical genres although my main focus is on traditional and classical music. I really love it, if students have pieces they found and they want to work on, even though I have enough material to teach.
