About Vishmi
I am a UWA student studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences with direct entry into Medicine. I'm currently studying my first year of my Doctor of Medicine.
Over the last 3 years, I have been teaching English and Literature for 10 students from years 6 to 12. These students have displayed a significant improvement in their results. For example one student went from below 50 to mid 80s after a month of my help. Another one went from failing their exam to getting high 80s in their end of year exam. Other students of mine have been able to continue getting high 80s/90s throughout the year.
In terms of tutoring experience overall, I have been teaching 6 subjects for a total of 18 students over the last three years. These students have come from a range of skill levels and age groups. All these students have displayed a significant improvement in their results. Furthermore, I have helped my students to develop and improve a multitude of soft skills such as confidence, work ethic, and creativity. I am extremely proficient in helping students achieve their goals and in helping them develop a love for learning.

My teaching method predominantly consists of following the course concepts and tackling each concept one by one. Teaching shall be delivered via oral means, presentations and hand-outs.
As practice makes perfect, I often assign students writing tasks and provide extensive feedback on these tasks in order to ensure improvement.
With younger students, I will communicate with their parents and provide them feedback about the student's progress. I will also reach out to parents if I have any particular concerns about the student's progress. I provide parents with semesterly reports on their student's progress which are very in-depth and extensive.
