About Marcie

Unlock the Power of Linux with a Passionate Self-Taught Expert

Are you ready to dive into the world of Linux and elevate your computing skills? As a self-taught Linux enthusiast with over a decade of experience, I am here to guide you on this exciting journey. Since 2006, I've embraced Linux, transforming my computing experience and mastering the art of using the best, most versatile operating system.

Here's what I offer:
- Personalized recommendations on any hardware changes necessary, and choice of Linux distribution tailored to your needs, for beginners
- Hands-on guidance in setting up and managing Linux systems, including Debian-based systems with KDE as a desktop manager.
-If preferred installation of systems that use gnome, fluvox, cinnamon and Xfce as their desktop manager
- Insights into maintaining web pages, blogging, and building websites using WordPress or HTML with Cascading Style Sheets.
- Teaching of how to install a full LAMP stack.

Linux can be installed on older hardware, proving that powerful computing doesn't require the latest tech. I still regularly use a computer with a chipset that is 13 years old.

Join me to explore the joy and efficiency of Linux, and let's make your computing experience truly rewarding. Book your lesson today and start your Linux adventure!

I welcome those with disabilities or who are neurodivergent.

About the lesson

Revitalize Your Computer with Linux!

Is your computer struggling to keep up with the demands of Windows 11? Or can’t upgrade from Windows 10. Or is just running slow and you are finding 8GB of RAM isn’t enough ?

Breathe new life into your computer with Linux!

Whether you're looking to dual-boot with Windows or switch entirely, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

Why Choose Linux with Me?
- **Boost Performance**: Transform your older computer into a faster, more efficient machine.
- **Tailored Recommendations**: I specialize in Debian and Ubuntu-based distributions, ensuring you get the best fit for your needs. If you have a particular distribution that isn’t based on these systems contact me. Chances are I can install it.

- **Free Software**: Discover a world of free, powerful software that comes with Linux distributions.

I’ll help you decide the best setup for your system, whether it's running Linux from a USB or installing it on a second disk for a much quicker run, and a more traditional use of your computer . My goal is to empower you with the knowledge to explore Linux independently in the future.

Ready to unlock your computer's potential? Book a lesson today and start your Linux journey!

Marcie and I were law school classmates, and her expertise in political science issues led to dynamic discussions! She would be an excellent tutor for students looking for an in-depth review of critical concepts and frameworks in the field. Her ideas and analysis reflect her own hard work and scholarship, providing insights that AI never could.
