About Genevieve
I have a true passion for teaching and want to share that with my students. It is my goal that students feel comfortable, feel welcome, and feel safe and supported while learning new things that can be difficult. If they don’t, how can they focus? How can they be successful? I believe that education doesn’t have to be boring! I try to take different approaches with language and adapt it to what students enjoy talking about to learning. I truly believe that we as teachers have the opportunity to share everything we know with our students and can help them grow into amazing adults who can take on the world successfully. It’s my goal to have my students enjoy their time while they are with me and learn something new!

As a current public school ASL teacher, I am required to create my own curriculum and lessons for everything I do. This means I have my own lessons with me at all times and am constantly changing to support the needs of my students. I have unlimited presentations, videos, and information relating to the current topics that is discussed in the surrounding districts ASL classrooms.
I love to take time in teaching and sharing information about ASL, the grammar, structure, culture, and history. I have taught ASL levels 1-4 including honors students and students who need extra support. I focus on signing support, sentence structure, facial expressions, and clarity but that does not limit what I can cover with students.
