About Elizibeth
As a flute tutor with 9 years of experience and around 150 trained students, I am passionate about helping learners discover their musical potential. I teach flute to all levels, focusing on both technical mastery and expressive performance.
My approach starts with building a strong foundation. I emphasise correct posture, breath support, embouchure strength, tone production, and finger precision. Once students develop control, I gradually introduce advanced techniques, dynamics, and musical interpretation.
I strongly believe in learning through performance. I encourage students to play in front of others, record themselves, and participate in small recitals or school events. This builds confidence and reduces stage fear.
I adapt my teaching methods to match each student’s pace. Some students learn visually, others by listening or repetition. I adjust my explanations accordingly to ensure effective understanding.
My unique skill is my ability to create a calm and motivating environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and grow. I provide regular feedback and structured practice routines that lead to steady progress.
Teaching flute is more than just instruction for me—it is about shaping disciplined, expressive, and confident musicians.

My teaching methodology focuses on holistic development in flute and related musical subjects. I believe learning flute is not only about playing notes but about understanding music deeply. I adapt my teaching to suit each student’s learning style, ensuring lessons are clear and effective.
In flute classes, I teach breath control, tone clarity, pitch accuracy, articulation, and smooth fingering techniques. I also integrate music theory, scales, rhythm exercises, and ear training into regular lessons. This helps students understand what they play instead of memorising mechanically.
I maintain flexibility in scheduling and lesson planning. Some students progress quickly, while others need more repetition and practice. I patiently adjust the pace according to individual comfort levels. Collaboration is encouraged through duet practice, musical discussions, and goal-setting sessions.
Positivity is central to my approach. I give constructive feedback in a motivating manner and highlight improvements regularly. I create a friendly atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions. My aim is to help students develop technical skill, musical expression, discipline, and confidence while enjoying the learning process.
