About Wesley

Every student has the potential to become a confident, expressive musician, and my goal is to help them achieve it. Holding Master's degrees in Music, I combine academic knowledge, performance,experience, and teaching expertise in every session. Lessons begin with core techniques like posture, finger placement, chord transitions, rhythm, strumming, and tone, gradually progressing to improvisation, phrasing, and composition. Music theory is taught in a practical and applied manner, linking directly to the music students are learning. Each lesson is personalised to the student's pace, goals, and style, creating a supportive and motivating environment.

I emphasise both technical skill and expressive playing to help students communicate emotion through music. Ear training, sight-reading, and performance exercises are included to develop well-rounded musicianship. Students explore genres such as classical, jazz, rock, blues, and pop to broaden musical understanding and versatility. Structured practice routines, feedback, and guidance help learners overcome challenges effectively. Milestones are celebrated to reinforce progress and maintain motivation. I encourage improvisation, composition, and personal interpretation to help students discover their unique musical voice.

Lessons balance discipline, structure, and creativity to ensure steady growth and engagement. Over time, students gain proficiency, confidence, and artistic expression. Teaching guitar is mentorship, inspiration, and skill development combined. My goal is to help students play authentically, creatively, and with confidence. Each lesson is an opportunity to cultivate artistry, skill, and lifelong passion for music.

About the lesson

My love for teaching comes from seeing students grow—both as musicians and as individuals. With a Master's in Music, I bring 15 years of study, stage experience, and passion to every lesson. I approach teaching with patience, encouragement, and genuine enthusiasm. My lessons are designed to help students gain not only skill but also confidence and creativity. I teach foundational techniques like rhythm, chord work, and strumming before introducing advanced topics such as soloing and improvisation. I make music theory simple and practical so that it supports—not overwhelms—your playing.

I adapt to each student's goals, whether they dream of performing live, writing songs, or just playing for enjoyment. I provide constant feedback and guidance to ensure progress. My approach is structured but flexible, emphasising both discipline and joy. Watching my students achieve musical milestones is my greatest reward. I believe that learning the guitar should be an inspiring experience, one that transforms both your sound and your self-expression.
