About Jessica
Art has always been my passion, and being able to share that with like minded people is incredible. I enjoy delivering simple and clear art history lessons because I understand how overwhelming the syllabus can seem. My priority in teaching is to listen to my students needs while steering them in the direction of success. My methods have lead my students to succeeding in the leaving cert and even in the creative aspects of their professional lives.

Lessons typically last 40-60mins depending on the students needs. In the first lessons we will establish what typeof learner you are, as I will tailor my lessons to this. I typically use at least 2 different mediums per lesson eg clips of videos, or interactive exercises to consolidate learning. As art students are usually visual learners I tend to present a lot of the content in conjunction to visuals to facilitate an easier and more fun way of retaining the information.
Lesson structure:
1. Introduce the topic and the learning outcomes.
2. Recap if appropriate/ establish prior knowledge.
3. Explain the topic through the use of timelines, videos etc
4. Brief exercise to consolidate knowledge.
5. Conclude lesson by summarising and answering questions.
