About Katherine

In high school, I attended governor's school three years in a row, two years regional and one statewide, as well as won multiple scholastic awards, and earned 5 on my AP art portfolio. I did all of this while meeting with professors, going to portfolio reviews, and being invited to sit in on college classes.
Now in college, I have recently attended the Peter’s Valley School of Craft on a near complete scholarship and I have been on the dean's list for multiple years.
I understand what it takes to get into these environments, and it is more than just craftsmanship. The way you talk about your art and your receptiveness to criticism is huge. Beyond the work that goes into your portfolio, I will be there to coach you on what to say and how to present yourself.

About the lesson

Together we will do regular portfolio reviews and critique. I will assign homework to strengthen your portfolio and help you to schedule and find events such as portfolio days, governors school interviews, and meetings with college representatives. We will look over what you need to improve and in what ways you need to push out of your comfort zone
