About Yolanda
"Teaching singing stems from the sheer joy of watching someone find their true voice. I still remember the first time a student successfully navigated a difficult break in their register during an audition prep session. My 13 years of experience in musical theater and coaching performance have prepared me to guide performers through head and chest voice, vibrato control, and complex harmony singing.
Having earned my degree from MSM, I apply rigorous technical standards to every singer I work with. I have guided countless students toward range extension and improved pitch control. Performance confidence is often the final piece of the puzzle for the artists I mentor. You deserve to walk into your next audition or BFA program interview with absolute certainty in your craft."

"Pacing remains steady as we slowly adjust the weight of your tone to ensure healthy projection during long rehearsals. I often pull out my own notes on breathing and warm-up exercises to demonstrate exactly how the rib cage should expand to support a sustained belt.
Because I hold a degree from MSM, I insist on connecting the physical movement of your breath to the emotional arc of the lyrics. You will find that our time together focuses heavily on rhythm and phrasing so that your storytelling remains clear even in your highest range. I treat each exercise as a miniature performance where the goal is to refine your technique while keeping the music honest.
We spend the first 10 minutes checking your alignment before moving into specific vocal drills that target your unique range challenges. These sessions are designed to build your instrument from the inside out while giving you full access to my personal library of breathing notes. By the end of our time, you will have a clear plan for your next practice session at home or in the studio, leaving you feeling ready to sing."
