About Kritara
My name is Kritara.
Originally from Germany, I am now living in Christchurch, New Zealand for almost 10 years.
My professional background is architecture, nursing and consulting. And alongside with it, I am teaching German as a foreign language for more than ten years.
In my spare time I like to cook, try out new recipes and explore the beauty of New Zealand, and I also enjoy catching upr with friends over a nice cup of coffee.

Are you an absolute beginner, an advanced student or a native German speaker?
My students come from all walks of life, different levels of German and with a variety of professional backgrounds.
Due to mine I am familiar with most technical terms in the constitution and health industry.
The lessons will be tailored to your goals, needs and what you would like to achieve, and will be a mixture of speaking, reading, writing and listening. They will also include theory like, punctuation, grammar and spelling.
I am happy to teach using a textbook, or teach you freestyle in alignment with your goals.
My area of expertise are:
- accent reduction
- phonetically learning the language
- teaching theory (the sometimes complex rules of the German grammar :)
