• Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

  When I was 9 years old I interacted with a computer for the first time in my local library. It was a rather antiquated machine by today's standards, with a bulky monitor and keyboard. A Windows XP PC with limited processing power and memory. A mixture of excitement as I sat down in front of the computer. The first thing I did was explore the graphical user interface, clicking on icons to open programs and navigating through the file system. I was fascinated by the way I could manipulate digital objects on the screen. Later I learned about digital modelling software and was fascinated to build digitally as if it were a gameplay.

• What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

  BIM and AI - Building Information Modelling and Artificial Intelligence.
  When both tools are combined, the expansion in our creativity and efficiency in designing and building will be out of this world! Set your imaginations free and innovation will follow.

• Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

  Architecture, a practice of creating places, buildings and communities. My interest is to be able to design beautiful and functional spaces people inhabit, and are happy. Our built environment shapes our societies, cities and our future.

• Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you or do you have other role models?

  Certainly, I would add Elon to the list. I have huge appreciation for Renaissance masters such as Michaelangelo and Brunelleschi as well.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

  UHU Glue solves everything ;)

• What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

  There is nothing like person-person interaction but it is good to embrace the technology we have and take it step by step. One benefit is that we don't have to travel XD. Maybe one day the metaverse will make things a lot easier.

• What makes you a Superprof in IT?

  Growing up self-taught, understanding the development criteria of my students are priority. I have developed methods to allow students understand quickly and effectively how certain software works. My expertise combined with my passion to teach gives students confidence, tips and tricks to learn and apply skills efficiently.
