About Xenia
My passion for Architecture started when I realized how thoughtfully designed spaces can influence mood, comfort, and everyday experience. This curiosity led me to complete a Bachelor of Architecture, where I studied design principles, structural fundamentals, environmental strategies, drawing techniques, and model-making processes. Over the past 6 years of teaching, I have supported students in discovering their creativity while also building the discipline needed for strong architectural reasoning. I approach teaching with warmth and clarity, ensuring each learner feels secure enough to explore ideas freely. I break down complex design tasks into clear stages and use simple explanations, visual cues, and constructive feedback to help students grow gradually without feeling overwhelmed. My teaching focuses on building confidence, encouraging thoughtful critique, and helping learners appreciate the reasoning behind every design choice. Outside of lessons, I stay engaged with architectural trends, design software, sustainable approaches, and model-making techniques so I can bring relevant knowledge into my sessions. Teaching architecture is deeply fulfilling for me because I get to watch students discover their creative voice while also gaining structure, discipline, and a thoughtful approach to problem-solving.

Architecture becomes approachable and exciting when students learn to see design as a thoughtful balance between function, form, and human experience. In my lessons, I help learners build strong foundations in spatial understanding, drawing techniques, conceptual development, structure fundamentals, and design logic. I introduce each idea through visual explanation, real-world examples, and step-by-step guidance so that learners feel supported while strengthening both creativity and technical reasoning. My goal is to make architectural thinking less intimidating and more like a structured creative journey where students gain clarity at every level.
Beginners start by learning basic drawing skills, simple 3D visualization, proportion, orientation, and foundational design concepts. Intermediate students explore material behaviour, circulation flow, façade understanding, plan development, and introductory model-making techniques. Advanced learners deepen their skills through detailed conceptual reasoning, design refinement, portfolio preparation, critique understanding, and structured presentation methods. Throughout all levels, I emphasize patient explanation and supportive exploration to help learners express their ideas confidently.
Architecture lessons are not only about design—they also help students develop patience, visual clarity, disciplined thinking, and the ability to communicate ideas effectively. Many learners discover new confidence in expressing creativity and problem-solving because they learn to think through design choices with purpose. My approach ensures students feel guided, inspired, and empowered in their architectural journey.
