About Scott
My journey in architecture began with a fascination for how built environments shape human experience and interaction. This interest led me to pursue a B.Arch followed by an M.Arch in Urban Design, where I gained both technical expertise and conceptual understanding. Over 9 years of teaching, I have helped students translate abstract ideas into functional designs, supporting their growth in creativity, technical skill, and professional awareness.
I believe architecture education should balance guidance with exploration. Many learners struggle because they lack structured frameworks or confidence in their design decisions. My teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, mentorship, and individualized support, guiding students to understand both the logic and aesthetics of design. Lessons are interactive, project-driven, and focused on practical application.
Outside the classroom, I remain actively engaged with architectural practice, urban design research, and sustainable design trends. Teaching architecture is deeply rewarding because I witness students discover their creative potential, develop technical mastery, and express their ideas with clarity. Supporting learners as they build both professional skills and artistic confidence is the most fulfilling part of my work.

Architecture becomes exciting when learners understand how creative ideas transform into functional and visually appealing spaces. My lessons focus on developing skills in conceptual thinking, spatial reasoning, design fundamentals, drawing, modeling, and material application. I encourage students to approach projects with both creativity and discipline, showing how thoughtful planning, proportion, and context influence architectural outcomes. Lessons are structured to build understanding gradually while fostering curiosity, experimentation, and confidence in design choices.
As learners progress, lessons explore advanced topics such as sustainable design, urban planning, structural considerations, and presentation techniques. I help students develop portfolios, refine conceptual sketches, produce 3D models, and present design narratives effectively. Guided critiques, hands-on projects, and discussion of real-world architecture support both skill development and creative thinking. Lessons are tailored to the learner’s goals, whether academic, professional, or portfolio preparation.
Architecture lessons also nurture problem-solving, aesthetic sensibility, and critical evaluation. Many students discover a heightened awareness of space, design logic, and visual storytelling. My goal is to help learners develop both technical competence and a unique creative voice, enabling them to approach design challenges with confidence, originality, and professional insight.
