About Lena
My interest in architecture started during my Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and grew through a Master’s in the same field. Over 6 years of teaching, I have guided students in transforming abstract concepts into functional, expressive designs. I prioritize clarity, patience, and creativity in my teaching, ensuring learners build both technical skills and creative confidence.
I emphasize a hands-on, project-based approach that combines theory, practice, and critical reflection. Beginners gain foundational design understanding, intermediate learners refine technical and spatial skills, and advanced students develop comprehensive projects with attention to sustainability, detail, and presentation. Lessons encourage curiosity, experimentation, and independent thinking.
Beyond teaching, I actively engage in design research, sustainability studies, and architectural analysis to provide students with current, real-world context. Bringing these experiences into lessons allows learners to see architecture as a dynamic, evolving field. Watching students evolve from tentative beginners to confident designers who express ideas clearly and creatively is incredibly rewarding. My ultimate goal is to cultivate learners who approach architecture thoughtfully, imaginatively, and with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed in both academic and professional endeavors.

Architecture lessons become inspiring when students learn to translate ideas into functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces. I focus on design principles, spatial awareness, materials, and architectural representation techniques. Beginners learn the basics of sketching, proportion, and concept development. Intermediate students explore model-making, structural understanding, project documentation, and design refinement. Advanced learners engage in complex projects, sustainable design, portfolio preparation, and presentation skills, building both technical competence and creative confidence.
I structure lessons to encourage exploration, experimentation, and clarity in design thinking. Students are guided to develop original ideas while considering function, form, and aesthetics. Visual aids, practical exercises, and project-based learning are central to my teaching, ensuring learners gain hands-on experience alongside conceptual understanding. Lessons are interactive, nurturing both analytical and imaginative thinking.
Studying architecture enhances creativity, spatial reasoning, problem-solving, and design literacy. Students gradually gain confidence in expressing ideas visually, solving design challenges, and understanding human interaction with space. Over time, they develop a creative identity that balances imagination and technical precision.
