About Maya
My fascination with architecture began with the realization that thoughtful design shapes human experiences and environments. I pursued a B.Arch and an M.Arch in Sustainable Architecture, learning how to integrate aesthetics, functionality, and environmental responsibility. Over 8 years of teaching, I have guided students in understanding design logic, spatial thinking, and creative expression, helping them build confidence and technical skill.
I emphasize clarity, patience, and supportive guidance. Lessons incorporate sketching, modeling, conceptual discussions, and iterative design exercises, ensuring that students internalize principles and cultivate their own design voice. I encourage exploration, problem-solving, and critical evaluation to strengthen both creativity and analytical thinking.
Beyond the classroom, I stay engaged with urban planning research, sustainable design innovations, and contemporary architectural projects. Bringing these insights into lessons allows students to connect theory to real-world applications. Witnessing learners grow in creativity, technical ability, and confidence is immensely rewarding. My goal is to inspire students to become architects capable of balancing innovation, function, and aesthetic integrity.

Architecture becomes captivating when students see the transformation of abstract ideas into functional, meaningful spaces. My lessons cover design thinking, spatial reasoning, conceptual modeling, material selection, and presentation techniques, integrating creativity with structural logic. Lesson plans are customized for different proficiency levels. Beginners start with fundamental sketching, proportion, and simple design exercises to understand spatial relationships.
