About Hana

I am an architecture and art graduate from UMPRUM and AVU in Prague, and I also hold a degree in teaching art subjects. I currently work full-time in Basel. I have guided students from beginners to master’s applicants in creating strong portfolios and completing projects. With experience preparing students for top European schools, I focus on respectful, student-centered teaching that builds skills, confidence, and creativity. I love meeting people from all over the world, and I am really looking forward to meeting you!

About the lesson

My Approach as a Tutor

Every student is unique and has individual needs. That’s why in our first meeting, we will clarify what you expect from the lessons and your goals. You might be a complete beginner who needs to build the skills required to apply for architecture school, or you might already be preparing for a master’s degree. In both cases, I adapt the lessons to your path.

If your goal is admission, we will work on creating a strong portfolio, preparing and presenting projects, and building the creative process behind them. This involves completing assignments, learning how to organize your work smoothly, and meeting deadlines effectively. If you need support during your studies, we will focus on bringing a project to completion in a way that is high-quality, fully your own work and idea, and something you can confidently present with pride.

Depending on your needs, we will also strengthen your technical skills. I can support you in software such as Archicad, Autocad, Rhino, Lumion, Twinmotion, D5, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. My approach is always encouraging—I provide continuous feedback, motivation, practical tips, and useful insights.

Typical Lesson Plan

For assignments with tight deadlines: together we set priorities, focus on what is essential, and organize the sessions so you can finish your project on time. I adapt the teaching to what you specifically need in that moment.

For software learning: we go step by step, starting from the basics of the interface and commands. Lessons are interactive—we practice together, alternate between teaching and guided work, and reinforce progress with small exercises or quizzes.

What Sets Me Apart
I combine experience from top schools in Prague (UMPRUM and AVU) with international practice in Basel. I am student-focused, flexible, and always respectful of your ideas. My role is to help you grow, gain confidence, and find your own way of expressing creativity—never to impose a single “right” answer.
