About JASON

I have worked in a technology field my entire life. I live breath and sleep Design and Technology. I began working in engineering in the late 80s and worked as a carpentry apprentice in the early 90s, before I decided to focus on fashion buying. By the late 90s I decided to study architecture. During my studies I worked part time in restaurants and was promoted to be a restaurant manager in Sir Terence Conran's chain of up market restaurants. I finally took my first forage into architecture at a hip architectural practice in Shoreditch London as a CAD operative in the early 2000s before working at the international Leslie Jones architects in London in 2007 upon graduating from architecture school at the University of Westminster. I initially wanted to lecture but after gaining my qualified teacher status in 2011, I enjoyed teaching so much that I remained within the state school system helping generations of young aspiring technology students pass their GCSE and A-levels to go on to bigger and brighter futures in the world of Architecture, Construction and Engineering.

Having first worked in engineering, then construction followed by 14 years in architecture before becoming a teacher, I am more than qualified to prepare students for the rigors of university life and beyond. My lessons are typically 1 hr long and I use a range of teaching styles to suit the individual student, depending on their needs. I am experienced in AQA, OCR, EDEXCEL, BTEC AND NCFE specifications with high levels of success. I also run an architectural consultancy business which ensures my subject and professional knowledge are consistently up to date. I am also proficient in the use and teaching of CAD and CAM as well as fine scaled model building.
