About Jessie

I am an Architectural Designer, Writer, Inclusive Design Consultant and PhD Candidate (UCL). I was previously a Lecturer at London Metropolitan University in the Art, Architecture and Design Department for 4 years and now online tutoring alongside my consultancy work and PhD. I have always loved learning and helping others with their learning process, to achieve a successful and enjoyable project. I am actively involved within the architectural and inclusive design industries, speaking at events/conferences, leading the seminars at the Access Association and the Accessibility Chair at London City Airport, as well as other panels such as GDI Hub, East West Rail, NeuroPlaces and International Bureau of Epilepsy.

About the lesson

I offer a wide range of approaches, according to the learning method of each individual student. We will have a free consultation session to get to know one another, work through the project, determine your goals and organise a viable plan of action. As an architectural designer and graduated 2x postgraduate student, and now PhD researcher, I understand what it means to be a student, especially within the context of Covid/transition to online learning. I have also been online teaching for 4+ years and testing out which methodologies work well to achieve engagement and successful results, whilst creating a compassionate rapport with each student. Understanding each student's individual learning style. With previous students, we have worked on Zoom.
