About Shan
I'm a Chinese student studying anthropology at the University of Edinburgh. For the last four years, I have been written as a freelancer journalist, a fiction writer and received high comments from my passionate readers. Also, with my own reading list of Chinese fictions and poems, I have a unique and flexible methodology to teach listening, reading and speaking, all based on your current level of Mandarin. I had teaching experience on illustrating and exemplifying the beauty of ancient Chinese poems, and contemporary fictions. To help my students enhance the ability of listening and speaking, I'd like to provide video clips from films, TV shows that represent as good examples. I also have my edge on combing the intertwined interconnections between Mandarin text with Chinese culture, within the social, historical and political contexts.
