I rely heavily on interactive activities where all my lessons are planned prior and follow this format. 15 min of note taking, 15 min of brief explanations of key concepts and allow 15min of questions which is the core of my lessons since I am of the opinion that we learn through asking question. Before a chapter is started I have a test to check the student's knowledge of the chapter in question and an end of chapter test to see if I had added value on the student's academic learning.
