About Emily
Hi there! My name's Emily, and I am a 21 yr old college student currently within the Animation program at Seneca College! I have been teaching students middle-school aged and up since 2018.
I help prep students to enter the schools of their dreams! For a lot of my students, they first signed up for my classes to help them with portfolio work. They stayed because of the fun and passion I bring out in my students to pursue art!
So far, all of my students that I have helped apply to art high-schools have gotten in! While I can't guarantee my aid will ensure someone's acceptance, I can say that art lessons are great for personal and educational learning. Having a teacher's aid helps in one's personal learning journey, as guidance always does!
But! Say your not someone really interested in pursuing animation as a career, and instead, just want to pursue it as a hobby? Worry not! My classes are suited to those of any age who just want to get better at animation.
Bored at home in this quarantine and want to improve a skill? Then my class is also for you! I have the most experience with middle-school aged children, but can teach anyone 10 and up!

Perfect! Emily really made me improve my animation skills by a lot. They made the fundamentals so much easier to understand and now I'm better than when I started.
- Fatma is dedicated! No matter how hard the assignment, she always keep moving forward and does her best. She is a kinetic/visual learner, who learns through watching. I've seen her grow immensely in only a short time in her animation work. Great student!Emily's response :

As a former student who has seen the incredible art Emily creates, I can with confidence that I thoroughly recommend her to anyone who wants to pick up drawing as a hobby!
Emily has been amazing, she is comprehensive and very humane in her approach! Super happy with the teaching!
Emily taught me art and I loved it! She's super nice and caring towards her students, which creates a comfortable and safe learning environment. She always asks what you want to do during activities in order to include your interests and input. She makes understanding very simple and easy, which helped me drastically improve my arts skills. She can adapt to anyone's learning style and pace, which makes her an amazing teacher suited for anyone. Not only does she have an awesome and caring personality, she is also an outstanding artist, teacher and friend!
Emily was recommended to me by a friend. I took lessons with her for over a year and it was great! She was an amazing teacher! She taught the necessary skills to complete assignments and provided thorough feedback on works completed. She was very kind, friendly and professional. I highly recommend Emily as a teacher for anyone looking to improve their drawing skills with a personalized experience.
Emily is a great and experienced teacher. She has been tutoring for three years and her students have been successful in applying for the arts high school, which we have attended together.
We are close friends through this school, going on seven years now. Enrolled in the arts program together, I saw her art skills improve and develop over the years, learning new techniques to apply to her personal style.
She is now furthering her artistic skills by acquiring post-secondary education in the field of animation. She has shown her works in progress, as well as the final products—both for her classes and her lesson plans for her students—and they are incredibly well-developed and thoughtful.
Having Emily as your teacher would greatly improve your chances of being accepted into your school of choice, or otherwise improve your skills for personal recreation and/or commission usage.I've known Emily for 6 years, and have seen her artwork progress throughout the year. Not only did her art work improved so did her animation skills which took short amount of time to improve which is impressive! I don't know how she teaches her students, but I do know is that Emily is very proud on each one of her students. Showing her friends some of her students art work, which is really nice as we can see the passion she has for teaching! I recommend Emily, for her compassion and understanding, yet her ability to reflect her growth onto others. When there is room to grow or improve Emily will for sure help out in those fields!
Emily and I have been close friends since high school (6 or 7 years now). She is a wonderful person who is kind, hard-working and outgoing. We were both enrolled in a visual arts program, and got to know each other through there. Over the years, I have seen her art develop as we applied the new techniques we learned in class. Even after art school, Emily has continued to develop her skills in the field of animation in post-secondary. Along with school, she has been tutoring almost as long as I've known her. She shows me the work she does and the lessons she plans, which even included stuff we never covered in class! Many of her students have applied and been accepted into art schools, and I would highly recommend taking lessons with Emily if you plan on applying to an art high school or university in the future, or if you want to hone your skills to do commissions.
Emily is a wonderful teacher, and has served as a fantastic mentor for me when first developing my skills as a digital artist. She is brilliant when it come to teaching the basic foundations of art and offering constructive critique for personal works. I would highly recommend this talented young artist for your tutoring needs!
I have been taking lessons with Emily for years, and she has become not only a tutor, but a trusted friend. She is kind and understanding, but still gets things done. She has helped me to grow as an artist and explore new things like watercolour, acrylics, pencil work, lineart and pen, pencil crayons and more. I would recommend her because she helped me accomplish my goals, including getting accepted into my chosen school.
Emily is great! I've been her student for over two years in-person and through discord. She helped me get into my highschool, and I think she is super awesome!
She is really nice and patient. She helped me understand and get better. I have gotten so much better at drawing people because she taught me how to understand what's underneath. I think that she is super cool and am super happy to have her as my teacher!See more recommendations
