About Lisa
I maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times, calling on my experience as a Scientist and former lecturer.
As I have written and published research, I have spent an immeasurable amount of time reading, deciphering language and meaning in many scientific articles. This experience, coupled with my love for reading all kinds of novels, has awakened in me, a passion for the English language and the ability to read.
The world is a fast-changing place. The ability to read and comprehend is a gift that should not be taken for granted. To be
able to read confidently and with ease will open doors to a whole new world of opportunity.

About the lesson

Languages in which the lesson is available :

I am proficient in English reading and word pronunciation as I have read over 1000 books and have public speaking experience.
As based on the student's level and age, I will select an appropriate text for reading.
Each lesson is divided into 4 parts:-
i. A discussion surrounding the topic of what good readers do and how to improve cognitive skills through reading including highlighting of new words.
ii. A 30-minute read-along where I read and the student follows, highlighting words that the student does not understand in a notebook.
iii. Find the meaning of those new words in a dictionary and write them down.
iv. The final part of the lesson requires the student to discuss the text with me and elaborate on the meaning, choice of language, and tone of the chosen text.
These lessons are aimed at ages 8 to 80 in particular although are all age groups are still welcome.
