About Lara
Hi! I’m Lara, an IB graduate from a highly respected GEMS school in Dubai (where I completed HL Psychology, SEHS, and English), as well as a Psychology graduate currently pursuing higher education who genuinely enjoys helping others understand subjects that may initially feel difficult or overwhelming. Through my own academic journey, I discovered that the best learning happens when concepts are explained clearly and in a way that makes sense to you. I want to make learning more enjoyable, build your confidence, and help you develop skills that you can use independently. I’m especially passionate about Psychology, as well as English and Literature, and I look forward to helping you reach your academic goals!

My teaching methodology is centered around making learning clear, engaging, and personalized to each student. I believe students learn best when they understand why something works rather than simply memorizing information, so I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into simple, logical steps.
A typical lesson begins by reviewing previous material and identifying any areas that need clarification. We then work through the main topic together using clear explanations, examples, discussion, and questions. I encourage students to actively participate and think critically rather than passively listening. Towards the end of the lesson, we review what was covered and identify anything that may need additional practice.
For Psychology, I can help students understand theories, research methods, studies, and key concepts, while also developing their ability to apply and critically evaluate what they have learned. I can also support English and English Literature, particularly with comprehension, literary analysis, essay writing, structure, and written communication.
I adapt my approach depending on the student, whether they need help catching up, preparing for an exam, improving an assignment, or simply gaining more confidence in a subject. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing the skills to eventually work independently.
