About Amirah

Hi! I’m Amirah, a Malaysian native speaker, and I’d love to help you learn Malay in a simple, relaxed and practical way.

As a native Malaysian, I can teach you not only the basics, but also the natural phrases and expressions that Malaysians actually use in everyday conversations. We can practise speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, sentence building and common situations such as introducing yourself, ordering food, travelling or having a casual conversation.

I’m friendly, patient and happy to take things at your own pace. You don’t need to worry about making mistakes the goal is to help you become more comfortable using Malay.

About the lesson

Whether you’re travelling to Malaysia, have Malaysian friends or family, or simply want to learn the language, I can help you build your confidence in speaking and understanding Malay in a relaxed and practical way.

My lessons focus on real-life Malay that you can actually use in conversations, rather than only memorising grammar and textbook phrases. We can work on pronunciation, vocabulary, sentence building, everyday conversations and useful expressions depending on your goals.
As a native Malaysian, I can also explain the differences between formal Malay and the more casual Malay that people commonly use in everyday conversations. I’m happy to adapt the lessons to your level and what you want to learn.
