About Matthew
I was born in 1984, which makes me just old enough to remember the analog past, experience the digital revolution, and thrive in the current American workforce.
I graduated high school in 2002 from Pineville High School. I wrote the front page story for my school
newspaper (they still existed) about the 9/11 attacks.
I went on to study political science and history at LSU in Baton Rouge. I participated in Student Government, sat on Judicial Board, and was twice elected Chief Justice of University Court. I interned under Hon. Judge C. Kerry Anderson of Beauregard Parish.
I have actively participated in state and national politics since graduating high school, volunteering and canvassing for numerous candidates in Louisiana, Texas, and beyond.
I was an early-adopter of America Online (AOL) Instant Messenger, Xanga, MySpace, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Snapchat. My first iPhone was the 3GS, and I have owned numerous subsequent generations.
I also love Hollywood movies. My favorite movie of all time is BLADE RUNNER, starring Harrison Ford.

America changed radically in the wake of 9/11. In the 25 years since the attacks of September 11, 2001, the nation has cleaved politically, socially, culturally.
The norms and values of 20th century have been ripped open by social media and the rise of AI. How do we make sense of our current trajectory?
Important cultural, historical, and sociological touchstones are explored. Students will gain a fresh, Millennial-led perspective that prepares them for the realpolitik of America in 2026.
