About Asande
I’m [Asande Mavundla], and I’m truly excited to be your teacher this year. Let me tell you a little about myself. I didn’t choose teaching just as a job—I chose it because I genuinely believe in the power of education to change lives. Growing up, I had teachers who made learning exciting, who listened, challenged me, and showed me that my ideas mattered. That experience inspired me to do the same for others. I’m especially interested in teaching because I love watching people discover new things—when something finally clicks, or when a student realizes they’re capable of more than they thought. That moment is what keeps me going. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all learning. Every student is different, and I try to make my lessons reflect that—relevant, interesting, and connected to the real world. My goal isn’t just to teach facts, but to help you think, question, and grow. This class isn’t just mine—it’s ours. I hope you’ll bring your curiosity, creativity, and questions. Let’s make it a space where learning feels meaningful and maybe even fun.
