About Richard

About Me:
I am a multi-instrumentalist (Piano, Saxophone, Guitar, Bass, Ukulele) with over 25 years of experience. I grew up in the powerhouse Stephen F. Austin (Sugar Land) band program, playing at an All-State caliber level. However, like many creative minds, the traditional classroom didn't always "click" for me.
At age 42, I discovered why: I am autistic. Having lived through the challenges of traditional music education, I’ve spent three decades developing a simplified "Musical Alphabet" system. I don't believe all humans learn the same way. Whether you want to play a single pop song, jam freely, or compose a symphony, I tailor my lessons to your goals.

About the lesson

My Method:
I strip away the fluff. Music is just 7 letters and 12 tones. I use a foundational 1-3-5 method to help you understand the DNA of any song in any key. My first 3 lessons are completely free because I want to prove to you that my system works before you ever pay a dime. You will learn why Middle "C" is the "root" of it all!

Perfect! I received detailed and really helpful instructions on what to practice. with ways that helped in understanding the basics in a lot more applicable and simple way compared to what I knew about the piano, I plan on coming back.
