About Alice
After completing a performance degree at the Royal Northern College of Music, I decided to do my PGCE in music education and am now a KS3/KS4 music teacher in a school in Manchester. I love working with teenagers as their passion for music is infectious!
Being a teacher, I like to keep up to date with current pedagogies around teaching and learning and apply these not just to my classroom, but also to my private students. I also enjoy when my students give me music recommendations to broaden my musical horizons!

My main goal in every lesson is to increase confidence, improve musicality and have fun!
My vision is that you become the best musician you can be, and I’d love to be a part of that journey.
As I teach both singing and flute, I work a lot on the fundamentals of breath work and technique, as technique is key to becoming the best musician you can be!
As part of my lessons, I give regular feedback and expect my students to practise in between lessons. This ensures that progress is made week to week.
For theory students, I would set homework to be completed by the next lesson.
