About the lesson

Train and Facilitate farmers (400 adults; men and women) in 3 IDPs camps and 4 communities of Borno state on the theme ‘Business Orientation and Mindset’
Conduct Business skills training that takes into account the context of Borno State and its LGAs; and
Practical training and demonstration on how to fatten goat, chicken, and Sheep (animal farming)
Give orientation on how to mix poultry and large animal’s feed and the method of application
Provides a tailored skills, end-to-end professional training on modern farming techniques /methodologies;
Train the beneficiaries on the most effective use of all agricultural inputs to ensure optimal levels of productivity and product quality, while minimizing negative environmental impacts;
Provide mentoring and extension services to cooperatives to increase yields and income.
Practical demonstration on agronomy (crop farming). Guide the cultivation/production of crops such as: Maize, chili pepper, green pepper, onion, cabbage, sorrel, tomato, amaranth, cowpea, okra, and Bambara nut;
Give technical guide on the usage of herbicides, pesticides/insecticides: the time of application, quantity to apply, the site to apply and the effect of the chemicals to crops, animals and human life.
Support farmer cooperatives to establish and improve their access to markets;
Give orientation on the precautionary measures, preventive and control measures involve in agricultural practices
