About Violette
I lived 11 years in India, especially in Varanasi / Bénarès in India, sacred city of the Hindus on the banks of the Ganges. I learned the Hindustani violin (from northern India) from the master Pt. Sukhdev Prasad Mishra, from 2008 to 2019. Back in France since April 2019, I have been teaching the Indian violin since 2011. I also teach English and Hindi.

A class with me usually lasts an hour, or less for a little one who has trouble staying focused during this time. During the course, I give my full attention to the student, and as much as possible I accompany him by playing or singing with him or her. Naturally, this method reflects the way I learned the violin with Pt. Sukhdev Mishra - that is to say by practical immersion, and I teach the Indian violin, that is to say that I adopt the seated cross-legged posture and the tuning of the violin as it is done in India (Sa Pa Sa Pa).
