About Misha

I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential and develop confidence in their academic abilities. As a first-year Occupational Therapy student with a TEFL qualification and tutoring experience, I enjoy finding ways to make learning engaging and accessible. I find it rewarding to see students overcome challenges, improve their skills and become more independent learners. I would love the opportunity to make a positive difference in each student’s educational journey.

About the lesson

My Afrikaans lessons are tailored to each student’s grade, learning level and individual needs. I aim to make learning Afrikaans easier to understand through clear explanations, personalised notes and practical exercises.

Lessons can cover Afrikaans Huistaal and Eerste Addisionele Taal, including grammar (taalstrukture en -konvensies), spelling, punctuation, reading comprehension (leesbegrip), creative writing (opstelle), transactional writing, literature and exam preparation.

Each lesson begins by identifying the student’s strengths and areas for improvement. I then explain the relevant concepts, work through examples with the student and provide practice activities to reinforce understanding. I use worksheets and testing exercises to help students prepare for assessments and develop confidence in answering different types of questions.

I monitor each student’s progress and adapt my teaching approach to suit their learning pace. My goal is to help learners strengthen their Afrikaans skills, improve their marks and become more confident and independent in their learning.

Lessons are available for students from Grade 4 to Grade 12 (Matric), with content adapted to the learner’s school curriculum and academic goals.
