About Erika
Passion for German runs in my blood. Quite literally- I have strong German heritage and grew up surrounded with German traditions and histories. In addition, I have lived in 4 different cities in Germany and am well-acquainted with the culture and several dialects.
In my years of German study, I have helped tutor other learners, and I spent nearly 2 years as a full-time volunteer teacher working with people of all ages, nationalities, language abilities, and learning speeds. I love working one-on-one with individuals at their pace.
In my free time, I love to hike, sing, dance, and dabble in graphic design.

Language is a living thing, and so are your interests and goals. We'll study & review not only technical aspects and "textbook work," but I'll also help you bring the language to life with firsthand cultural insights and learning tips tailored to you.
In each lesson, we'll involve multiple aspects of language learning: speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary, and through that, my goal is to help you become comfortable & confident in carrying conversations and performing your target tasks (like preparing for an exam). And you get a say! I'll partner with you to plan our your path to proficiency.
Whether you're a brand new A0 beginner or have reached up to B1-B2 proficiency, I'm excited to grow together.
