About Ethan
I earned my M.S. in Computer Science from UIUC and have been tutoring programming and game development in Chicago for 7 years. I also work as a lead software engineer at a gaming startup, producing indie titles. I hold certifications in Unity and AWS Cloud Development, and I’m available weekday evenings and weekend deep dives. I offer advanced coding and game development lessons—covering programming fundamentals (Python, Java), video game development using engines like Unity and Scratch, and SQL database design for game data. We build small-scale games (2D platformers, puzzle games) to apply object-oriented concepts, and I introduce AI basics (pathfinding algorithms, simple neural networks) for non-player character behavior.
