About Cm
My name is Chris. I am a songwriter and experienced performer. I have been a guitar teacher for 24 years. For 22 years, I have been teaching at one of Sydney’s most prestigious private schools - The Hills Grammar School. I am also an experienced music producer, owning and operating Australia’s first and only off grid solar powered recording studio. I have 24 years experience. I have taught for 22 years at one of Sydney’s most prestigious private schools - The Hills Grammar School. I have taught perhaps 23,000 or more lessons to literally many hundreds of students in my career so far. Some of my students have gone on to enjoy internationally successful careers in Music (like Josh Smith of “Northlane” for example) I teach online lessons in 30 minute or 60 minute sessions per week. I believe in guiding you towards your goals, rather than dictating what must be learnt. The lessons are tailored to the individual. I can teach all styles and techniques including - Contemporary pop, Jazz, classic rock, folk, Blues, fingerpicking. I can assist with guitar and vocal accompaniment, including songwriting. I can help prepare for exams, HSC, or any kind of performance if that is your goal. Music and chord theory are also available but not compulsory. Please get in touch to discuss your goals. All levels and ages are welcome. Lessons are currently offered online via Zoom or FaceTime - from the convenience of your home. I have transitioned to online lessons since the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic in 2020. It has been amazing to see how effective online lessons are with an interactive teacher such as myself.
