I provide patient, personalised learning support for students who need a different approach to traditional teaching.

I specialise in supporting students with:

ADHD — focus, motivation, organisation and managing schoolwork

SEN — patient, structured and individualised learning support

️ Autism — clear explanations, predictable structure and learning at the student's own pace

Reading Difficulties — breaking reading and written work into manageable, confidence-building steps

For many students, the problem isn't their ability — they simply need to be taught in a way that works for them.

Traditional lessons can sometimes feel too fast, overwhelming or unclear. I create a calm and supportive environment where students can ask questions without feeling embarrassed or pressured.

My approach

I break learning into simple, achievable steps, provide clear structure and adapt every session to the individual student's needs.

My aim isn't simply to help students complete today's work. I want them to develop the confidence, organisation and learning strategies that can make studying easier in the future.

Every student is different, so there is no one-size-fits-all lesson.

I want to change that experience.

Small successes build confidence, and confidence makes it easier to keep trying.

The goal is for students to finish a session feeling:

“I understand it. I know what to do next. I can do this.”

About the lesson

Does your child struggle with focus, organisation, confidence or keeping up with schoolwork?

Perhaps you've seen that your child is bright and capable, but traditional teaching methods don't always bring out their potential. They may become distracted easily, feel overwhelmed by instructions, struggle to organise their work, or lose confidence when they don't understand something straight away.

My role is to provide the patient, structured and individualised support they may not always have time to receive in a busy classroom.

I specialise in supporting students with ADHD, SEN, autism and reading difficulties, creating lessons around the individual student rather than expecting the student to adapt to a fixed teaching method.

My Teaching Method

My approach is clear, structured and step-by-step. Difficult or overwhelming tasks are broken into smaller, achievable stages, helping students experience progress rather than frustration.

I pay close attention to the student's concentration, confidence and energy throughout each session. If one explanation isn't working, I don't simply repeat it — I find another way to explain it.

Lessons can include visual explanations, repetition, practical examples, short focused activities and regular check-ins to reinforce understanding and maintain engagement.

I also introduce practical strategies for focus, organisation, memory and motivation, helping students develop skills they can gradually use more independently.

What Does a Typical Lesson Look Like?

We begin with a short check-in and establish one or two clear, achievable goals for the session.

We then work through the material in manageable stages, using clear explanations and guided practice. I regularly check understanding before moving forward and give students plenty of opportunities to ask questions without feeling rushed or judged.

When appropriate, we can change activities or take short breaks to help maintain concentration and prevent overload.

At the end of the lesson, we review what we've achieved, reinforce the key points and establish clear next steps.

Why Is My Approach Different?

My priority isn't simply to get through as much material as possible.

I want students to understand what they're learning, remember it, build confidence and gradually become more independent.

There is no judgement for losing focus, needing something explained several times, struggling with organisation or taking longer to understand a topic.

Every student is different, and their lessons should reflect that.

My aim is to create a calm, encouraging and supportive learning environment where students can experience success and begin to see themselves as capable learners.

Ultimately, I want your child to finish each session thinking:

“I understand this. I know what to do next. I can do it.”

Online lessons: £40 per hour
A convenient and flexible option, with personalised one-to-one support from home.

Face-to-face lessons: £60 per hour

In-person, one-to-one support with lessons tailored to the student's individual needs, learning style and goals.

Any learning materials I prepare specifically for the student are included in the lesson fee, so there are no additional charges for standard teaching resources.
