About Shane

I'm Shane Mason, an entrepreneur and UC Berkeley graduate (Business and Interdisciplinary Studies). I have ADHD, as do my wife and my business partner, so I've spent years building practical systems for planning, task initiation, and follow-through that hold up under real pressure. I spent two years at the Writing and Reading Center at De Anza College, working one-on-one with college students in English writing, ESL, and economics. I've also spent over a decade hiring, training, and managing employees, from teenagers in their first job to seasoned professionals. Nothing I teach is theoretical — it's what I use every day running my company and household.

About the lesson

I'm an entrepreneur and a UC Berkeley graduate (Business and Interdisciplinary Studies), and I tutor executive functioning: the planning, task initiation, and follow-through skills that decide whether good intentions turn into finished work. I have ADHD, as do my wife and my business partner. Running a company and a household with that wiring meant building systems that hold up under real pressure, then teaching them to the people around me. Nothing I teach is theoretical. I spent two years at the Writing and Reading Center at De Anza College, working one-on-one with college students in English writing, ESL, and economics. I have also spent over a decade hiring, training, and managing employees, from teenagers in their first job to seasoned professionals. I work with students from middle school through college and adult professionals. We start by finding where the breakdown happens, then build one simple system the student will actually use, practiced on real assignments rather than hypotheticals. First lesson free.
