About Kym

I am an actor, playwright, presenter and coach. I have been working in the industry for 10 years in various roles and on numerous projects. Writing is probably my first love and I am constantly working on something. I always have a notebook and pen to jot down notes and ideas, some of which end up as snippets in my work or turn into full blown stories. I've been lucky enough to have been mentored by some of the industry's most successful writers over the years, and I want to be able to pass on that knowledge and experience to others.

About the lesson

My classes are always a safe environment to explore ideas and try new things. I open every class sharing ideas or pieces of writing you have created during the week. This is voluntary, but helps to encourage creativity, and sharing with others really helps to develop ideas. Each workshop is aimed at a particular area; planning, character creation and development, dialogue etc. Through discussion and practical exercises, the aim is to have a fully written play and then we can work together further on what to do next to get your play out into the public domain.
