About Des
I used to struggle with English Literature, always feeling intimidated by all the reading and unsure of my own interpretations - to a point where I would avoid contributing in class discussions. I teach to help students overcome these challenges, build confidence, and discover the joy of thinking and writing about texts -just like I did, and ended up scoring high marks in both A level and IGCSE English Literature.
